Hi Jerry STB quality evaluation was performed for each telecom operator (SKB/KT/LG) in Korea. In SKB, the quality evaluation was conducted with Smart3(BFX-AT100). The issue of this quality evaluation is that the volume deviation of each channel is larger than that of other telecom operators. This mantis was requested by SKB before the relevant test report was obtained. I and SKB received the quality evaluation test report from SKB yesterday. First of all, please review how STB can reduce the volume deviation for each channel until today 6 pm in Korean time Additionally, SKB is planning to reduce the deviation in HE. I am discussing the dynamic range control(DRC) function with Amlogic. Thank you YK.Jung |

Hi Jerry When I checked your measurement result, AAC and AC3 are different. Is this the result you were expecting? And the volume step level is not linear. As far as I know, you measured it as dbFS. the measurement result is a little strange. HI Jerry SKB want to know : 1) Measurement of volume difference between AAC and AC3 at v15.534.28 Expectation: there should be no volume difference between the two codecs. 2) How can STB reduce the volume deviation between channels? I will report that it is caused by the measurement method and HE value. and please let me know if there is anything else to comment after looking at the document (skb_lkfs.pdf) that was delivered before. Hi YK, I just asked our QA. When they tested the AAC file, they found that the HDMI output of SMART3 was not a gray output and not a sine wave test tone. I have asked them to double check the source file and test LKFS again. We also play these two audio files through VLC, We found that the volume of the sound is different. Is this normal? Jerry |
